HSToday x ExpertTheory Providence Game Night: Allies of Necessity with Live Expert Commentary from Dexter Ingram

Thursday, August 27, 2026 (5:30 PM - 7:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Join the virtual audience for a front-row view of Allies of Necessity, a live National Security simulation exploring whether a fractured international coalition can reunite to confront a resurgent ISIS threat.
As teams negotiate, form alliances, and respond to an evolving crisis, Dexter Ingram and Daveed Gartenstein-Ross will provide live commentary throughout the game. They will unpack the strategic choices being made, explain the real-world considerations behind them, and examine the consequences as they unfold.
Inside the Scenario: Can the Coalition Be Rebuilt?
ISIS is resurging. The Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS that once defeated it has fractured, and its American convener has withdrawn.
The remaining partners must determine whether cooperation is still possible. National interests are diverging, trust is limited, and every government has its own priorities. Can they find enough common ground to rebuild the coalition before the threat grows beyond their control?
Developed with direct input from Dexter Ingram, the scenario reflects the real-world dynamics he encountered while serving as Acting Director of the Office of the Special Envoy for the Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS. The environment is grounded in reality, the decisions are difficult, and the outcome is far from predictable.
