Tuesday, June 30, 2026 (2:00 PM - 3:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science & Technology Directorate’s Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Program provides small businesses with a powerful pathway to develop innovative technologies that address homeland security challenges while advancing commercial growth opportunities. GTSC’s look at the SBIR program will provide a high-level overview of the DHS S&T SBIR program, including how it works, when companies should consider using it, and the value it can bring to emerging technologies and mission-focused innovation.
The session will explore how SBIR supports:
- The transition of ideas from concept to prototype through phased; non-dilutive funding opportunities designed to accelerate research, development, and commercialization;
- insight into how DHS S&T partners with industry to identify innovative solutions to real-world operational challenges.
Administered by DHS S&T since 2004, the SBIR program helps connect government needs with the creativity and agility of America’s small business community. For organizations interested in expanding R&D efforts, entering the federal marketplace, or scaling innovative technologies, the DHS S&T SBIR program can serve as a strategic tool for growth and collaboration.
This webinar is ideal for small businesses, technology developers, innovators, entrepreneurs, and organizations interested in learning more about federal innovation funding opportunities and the role SBIR plays in advancing mission-driven solutions.
